Safety Guide

Important safety information for responders, coordinators and service teams using TychoCare.

Essential information

Using TychoCare safely

TychoCare is designed to support safer independent living. This guide outlines key safety considerations to ensure the system is used correctly and responsibly.

Environment
Safe installation

• Do not install sensors near heat sources • Avoid placing devices where they may be knocked or obstructed • Ensure cables and power supplies do not create trip hazards

Electrical
Power safety

• Use only the supplied power adapters • Do not use damaged cables or plugs • Ensure sockets are in good condition and not overloaded

Operation
Safe system use

• Responders should follow organisational protocols when acting on alerts • TychoCare insights should complement — not replace — human judgement • Report any unusual system behaviour to support immediately

Maintenance
Keeping devices safe

• Clean sensors with a dry cloth only • Do not open or modify devices • Replace damaged equipment through authorised channels

Emergency situations

TychoCare is not an emergency‑response system. In any situation where someone is at immediate risk, responders must follow their organisation’s emergency procedures and contact the appropriate services.
