Common Questions
Your questions, answered
These FAQs cover how TychoCare works, what it measures, and how it supports both individuals and responder teams.
What is TychoCare?
TychoCare is a discreet home‑monitoring system that helps responders understand daily routines and identify changes that may indicate risk — without using cameras or microphones.
Does TychoCare use cameras?
No. TychoCare uses non‑intrusive activity sensors that detect movement, not images or audio. This protects privacy while still providing meaningful insights.
What kind of data does TychoCare collect?
The system collects simple activity information such as movement patterns and room usage. It does not collect personal audio, video or detailed behavioural data.
Who can see the data?
Only authorised responder teams and service coordinators can access TychoCare insights. Access is logged and monitored for security.
How does TychoCare help responders?
Responders receive clear alerts and summaries that highlight changes in routine, helping them prioritise visits and support individuals more effectively.
How long does installation take?
Most homes can be fully installed and provisioned in under an hour using the TychoCare Provisioning App.
What happens if a sensor stops working?
The system notifies responders if a sensor goes offline. Troubleshooting steps are available in the Troubleshooting Guide →.
Is TychoCare suitable for all home layouts?
Yes — sensors can be placed flexibly to suit different layouts. For guidance, see the Sensor Placement Guide →.
How quickly does the system learn routines?
TychoCare begins learning immediately, with meaningful patterns emerging within 24–48 hours.
