Where to place sensors
TychoCare sensors work best when placed in locations that capture natural movement through the home. This guide explains the ideal positions for each room and how to avoid common installation issues.
Place a sensor facing the main walking route. Avoid pointing directly at doors or windows where drafts or light changes may cause noise.
Position the sensor to capture movement between the bed and the door. Avoid placing it too close to the bed to prevent over‑sensitivity.
Install the sensor where it can detect general movement, not just one appliance. Avoid placing it above ovens or near heat sources.
Place the sensor high on the wall, away from steam and moisture. Ensure it captures entry and exit movement clearly.
General placement tips
• Mount sensors at chest height where possible • Avoid pointing sensors directly at windows • Keep sensors away from radiators or heat sources • Ensure each sensor has a clear line of sight • Allow 24–48 hours for the system to learn new patterns after repositioning
